Simpson College has one of the best-known music programs in the Midwest. It is home to the Des Moines Metro Opera and houses many other resources for vocal and instrumental performance majors.
Senior vocal performance major Sarah Curtis and junior music and public relations double major Grace Peck came to the studio to talk about life as a music major.
From balancing social and academic interests to making a career, both women give their perspective on why so many individuals continue to major in music. Sarah and Grace discuss the risks, joys and growth involved in such a major and how Simpson has impacted their decision to pursue a career in music.
